Has Lance failed to recognize its time to retire?
10th place. No yellow shirt. Its perhaps embarassing to see a ledgend recognize he is past his prime. But, this is Lance.

I just hope that he does well as he has been the greatest, but in his last outing he didn't fare well in the mountains and they weren't anything like they have to ride there. But when he came back from cancer no one thought he would even finish let alone win and look what he did. I will be pulling for him and hoping he does well.

It will be great if he does well, but for me I'm glad he is back doing what he is great at and not hanging with all the Hollywood gang.
He put cycling on the map and put America at the lead...Go Lance!
I'm a 66 year old cyclist and understand what riding is about...the open road and being free.

Well, as long as you can go the speed limit, I have no problem with bikers and their multi-colored spandex pants (fat a$$ed men in spandex are the the exception:eek:). Yeah, Lance was great for getting biking on the map. Biking without Lance is like golf without Tiger. But then, golfers do not snarl traffic.
We will see.

Have to say..for all Lance has already done before in this race....what medical problems he suffered and beat...and being almost 38 years old up against all those young, hungry warriors......
He can finish last and he still has all my respect.

Saw a very funny interview with Robin Williams one time. This was after the fourth or fifth win. He was making fun of the French. Claiming if Lance won again by beating them all through the hills that the following year they were going to hold the tour in the desert.
In the course of my job I have met Mr. Armstrong several times. Nice unassuming guy.

I believe that after his last win they did change some of the mountain routes to make it easier for the other riders. France is desperate for a
French rider to win it, but they just don't seem to be able to do as well as some of the others. Maybe if they just rode on the downhill side of the mountains.

I guess a 37 year old washed up biker has no place being the lead.

I saw on the news today that the lead rider for that team is pissed off. When they made their break away yesterday Lance went and he didn't and now he is behind and really ticked about it. No reason given as to why he didn't go with the break away group.
Ron
