I don't entirely agree with that. I have no insurance and I don't want to be forced to pay for what I don't want. You nor anyone else pays for my medical bills. I pay them out of my savings. Well this mess has been around for a long time it's been 60 years since it was first brought up in congress, so it's been researched for long enough, I don't see how it's a power grab, it's more of trying to control cost, as it is, its spiraling out of control, I have the utmost respect for what you are doing Ron, but you are one of the few, those that are letting us pay for their care are the ones causing the double digit inflation, I say give them a basic government run healthcare and if they want to buy better they are more than welcome to join the rest of us. I have to pay in my property tax for the fire department as well as the police, and education, these things would be outrageous to pay for, if they were for profit corporations, I sent my kids to private school, I still had to pay for everyone else's kids to go, but that was part of the deal I knew going in if I wanted better for mine I would have to pay for it.

Not to argue, but I just don't see why anyone should be forced to buy anything by our Govt., I don't care who is President. I know it has been researched and billions wasted as usual on the research. If I choose to get along the way I do, it does not cost any tax payer a penny. And I pay extra for the schools which is added to my property taxes and I don't have any kids nor have I ever. And like all of you, I pay for the fire and police protection.
I really don't know what the fix could be, but this Govt. mandated stuff or we will fine you isn't it. That will certainly help people who can't afford to pay anything, by taking away what little they have. If you and the rest are happy with this, then why not give those of us who want nothing to do with it the option of not taking it?

BTW, have you all thought about what is NEXT after this? What else will the clamoring children be begging uncle sam to pay for? Housing? Food? Cars? Energy?

I think it will be energy. Or perhaps housing. Everybody has a right to a roof over their head, right? Yup. Its gonna be housing. I think cap & trade will be used to provide all the "have nots" with energy.

I have no argument with your premise, no one should be forced to buy into something they either don't want or can't afford, what we need is a safety net for those who wish to not buy in for whatever reason, and get what is now a way too expensive a system off our backs, I understand what you are saying, you are paying for yourself and not taking help from the tax payers, but there are some things, such as healthcare that if we do not get a handle on the price now, there will be no hope of ever getting the debt under control. I know the way it looks now, how could they ever get it under control, a lot of the banks have re-paid their loans, but the 2 wars and the cost of starting up Homeland security and many other things were never put on the budget, as it is now, along with the stimulus package it all looks overwhelming, and whether you agree or disagree the tarp and stimulus were necessary, the only way to possibly get a handle on it, is to get to spiraling cost of healthcare under control, what we have now will never do that, it will only get worse! So we either do nothing as the Republican party would like, but remember they have an agenda, they want this administration to fail, no matter what the cost to our nation.

Please post ANY verifiable true statement by obummer. ANY! Except, when HE said, "I am BIASED." and, "I do not know the facts." Other than those TELLING admissions, everything he has said and done since being elected is a PROVABLE LIE.
