Drudge porks Obama

In response to the astonishingly inept recovery.gov website which implied two-pounds-of-ham were purchased for more-than-a-million-bucks, the Administration has even more lamely dug itself into an even deeper hole by extolling the actual price of the ham... approximately double what Food Lion is selling it for... the good stuff, in Food Lion's case, a nice Smithfield smoked ham.
A
griculture Sec. Vilsack: 'Purchased 760,000 Lbs of ham at cost of approximately $1.50 per pound'...

FOOD LION: $.79 Lb...

The Government themselves have let a contract to a Maryland Company to "rebuild" and "refurbish" the recovery.com site.

$18,000,000.00 over 5 years. $3,600,000.00 per year to 'rebuild' a website??????????????
5 YEARS???????????????????????

Do we need ANY other information to KNOW why the "recovery" isn't working?
Its a redistribution of the wealth. Redistribution from the taxpayers, to the porkers and their politician friends.!!

Do any of you computer savvy types know of a ONE million dollar website?

Well, I can personally build a web site with around $600 in software. I know that it takes around $10,000 to have a web-master specialist build a complete bells and whistles web site – something that's not out of a can like this one.

Besides, what’s so ‘special’ about reporting where the funds went that requires more than a few web pages, even hundreds of web pages. It’s not like they are having to run a store or business on the site – it’s the simply reporting of information with no special effects required to attract eye balls.

Geez, we are so screwed and it just doesn’t stop.
