"PATNA, India (Reuters) – Farmers in an eastern Indian state have asked their unmarried daughters to plow parched fields naked in a bid to embarrass the weather gods to bring some badly needed monsoon rain, officials said on Thursday.
Witnesses said the naked girls in Bihar state plowed the fields and chanted ancient hymns after sunset to invoke the gods. They said elderly village women helped the girls drag the plows." I think I understand why the naked girls are unmarried and pulling plows. They get mistaken for cows ! |

Sure. In India cows are sacred so they would not embarrass a cow by making it pull a plow. And you notice they were young girls. Much better to look at than old women. Ron :3DSMILE: |
I wonder if the land owners were out there whipping those plow pullers to get them to perform at optimum RPM's?
I would guess that RPM means Rumps Plowing Maximun.........How about the Dyno operator....measuring RPM's and hoping for rain. I'm sick...Bill |
