A Happy Dad
This weekend my 14 year old daughter's soccer team won the national championships. From 10,000 teams down to two in the finals. All of the hard work they put in paid off and we are very proud of them. Go Blast. Sorry I am just really happy.

Congratulations. What a thrill. I think I have an idea how you feel!
I coached back in the nineties, but my son's team could never get past the Dallas teams....but I could. I worked as a sponsor and got to see all the games in the finals most of the nineties and early 2000's. I also saw a lot of regional games and state cups. My wife and I are big soccer fans (youth and pro)....loved every minute of it! Sometimes I awarded the National Championship Trophy, but most of the time I awarded the Fair Play Awards. Soccer for my wife and me was fun, fun, fun...but winning a national championship would be hard to describe. I hope your kids are able to appreciate the championship and still be humble. The Dallas teams are always tough, the team we played in the finals beat the Dallas Sting in PK's at regionals. It cost me an I Phone but it was well worth it. Allan |
