It has long been said.....
that the biggest difference between the justice system and criminals was the color of their uniforms.
Gross oversimplification, to be sure, but these a$$holes put credibility into that observation.

The saying around these parts is....the difference between a cop and a criminal is a scoring an 80 on the cop test.

They do make it hard on the honest and good cops. But that seems to be the case in every city and police department. All of them are judged by what a few jerks do. We even have had 2 incidents somewhat similar to that here in this small police department and all they did was transfer them to another area. Now those people will have to put up with them.

Normally,this is a good thing.This situation however,the union isn't going to be much help other than legal fees. |

All I can say is, "WHAT IDIOTS" , ruining their careers and giving the HONEST cops a BLACK EYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This happens way too often. My father, brother and I were T-Boned by an LA PD Squad car. The officers tried to say they were on a light only call (forgot the code) and that we failed to stop prior to the intersection and give them the right of way. This was at 1PM in the morning and we had people get ahold of us and tell us two squad cars were a block away from that intersection reving engines and egging each other on to drag race.
We went to court and won but in those days all we could get back was damages to car.,
The officer who hit us was only supended for a year and was allowed to return to duty.
A couple of years later my brother now of driving age was stopped for speeding. Guess who stopped him? Yep, it was that same officer now on duty. He told my brother he didn't want to have anything to do with our family and let him go!
