But now that you mention it, Hawaiis basic health insurance plan is that EVERY employer MUST by law provide health insurance to an employee. Even if it's only one employee. Not a bad place to start for a National Health Insurance type plan. |

Eh eh, yeah, that could be why burgers are so darn high around here all right! Hawaii is not a business friendly state and the health insurance thing is the tip of the ice berg. But it's one place to start as far as a national program goes, I guess... Some of the employee health insurance plans here are really bad. Essentially "catastrophic care" only. If your in that kind of shape you will likely get layed off and loose your lousy insurance anyway!

I hear Alabama has layed off so many State workers the Sheriff is asking for the National Gaurd to help maintain law and order! Things are tough all over. |

Force them to add that mouth due to a mistake, and they are going to have to cut more corners somewhere. I can ensure that regular checkups will be one of the first things to go, and most medical care will be an emergency because they wait too long. That makes it a LOT more expensive. However, one of the drawbacks to free care is that people go to the hospital for a hangnail, and that will be expensive as well. We need a better solution than government run health care. Going in a for a hang nail won't be a problem, more than once. They get there, take a number, #247 now serving #32. That should solve that problem. :)
