It was intended to provoke. Not much doubt that it was provocative.
Whether or not it was a wise move is, and will continue to be, in the eyes of the individual. Bartruff's question is semantic and - at any given individual's perspective - equally provocative. |

So there was NO incident. This thread was started for sh!t disturbing purposes only.
Liberals on strict gun control. They are 100% for STRICT gun control no matter what the Bill of Rights says, that is, once THEY have sufficiently armed themselves. THEN they want gun control. |

Dan40, the thread is valid and asks a valid question for consideration on a controversial act. Your opinion is noted, it stinks, just like your diaper.

You guys need to figure out the difference between a semi automatic rifle and an "assault rifle". The term assault rifle comes from the military and means a rifle that is capable of both semi automatic and fully automatic operation. Liberals like to throw out the term assault rifle for shock value, when the civilian version of these rifles operates just like any semi automatic weapon. The liberals get their feathers ruffled (sp) over the look of the weapon, and not the capability.

Horse and a horse on diaper references!:3DSMILE::LOL: And I change the diaper every couple of weeks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Depends............. The original question was: Gun's at political events... "Has any Republican Official commented on that ??? Any former official ?" To be really VALID it should read, Has any Republican, Independent, or Democrat Official commented on that ??? Any former official ? http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/imag...tons/quote.gif |
The Elmarachi put it perfectly!
No politician from either party will touch this issue with 10' pole, unless theri really stupid. Maybe "SuperSoakers" would be more fun at the townhall meetings.....shooting cool-aid. wow! what fun!!!!! |

My preference is that any American citizen uphold their obligation to tell their elected Government of its' failings. If the mere presence of a legitimately owned and carried weapon - of ANY legal nature - should cause that Government concern, then their agenda is suspect. I have absolutely no concern with anyone carrying a firearm in open and obvious display, whether at a baseball game, a town hall meeting, a presidential rally, or even a Cub Scout meet. It is action with it that would concern me; brandishing without obvious reason would serve as cause for intervention. Mere display is neither offensive nor cause for Chicken-Little reaction. Although I'm no politician, I trust that answers your question. |

In the non-gun world, a gun shoots [the gun, not the person] and a gun is a piece of machinery. Therefore, all guns are MACHINE GUNS. Everybody knows that!:p |

Sheeesh, what if Obama had to make a public comment on what Biden has to say on any given day?
...sometimes you just want to go to a quiet place and scream (that works for me). :) |
