There is a further update. The KR owner had a confernece call with Ford, SAI, etc. The replacement hood is being sent today as it was never sent on Sept 10th as promised by SAI. The owner seems to think that this got moving after Ford got involved but he still doesn't know what the new hood will cost. He has not changed his opinion of SAI at all but he is happy that Ford has stepped in.
I just happened to go onto eBay today and I plugged in GT500KR for the fun of it and was surprised to see so many new KR's listed. It looks like many Ford dealers are going the eBay route with their new KR's probably trying to get as much for them above sticker price, as they can. Some of them are new 08's so maybe they aren't selling all that well either. Wayne |
It is hard to believe but SAI has still not cleared up this mess.
I was at my local Ford dealer getting the oil changed in my Explorer last week. While I was waiting, I walked around looking at the new cars. They are an SVT dealer so they had several new GT 500's on the lot. I couldn't help but think of how SAI is screwing around the owner of this KR, even though the Shelby Mustangs I was looking at were not KR's. This whole mess just leaves me with a very bad impression of SAI and Shelby, which is sad. Wayne |

For anyone that hasn't followed this lately, follow the link in the first post of this thread and then go to the last page at the other site. This is absolutely unbelievable. SAI promised that a check would be sent 2 weeks ago but they never sent the payment and now they are reported to be taking action against those that reported this mess.

I continued to follow this story which seemed to spiral down hill recently. I went to take a look today and the link to the 500KR thread no longer works. I then tried to go to the Spoken Torque home page and that doesn't work either. There had been some talk of legal action against this web site if they didn't stop posting negative information about SAI, Ford, and this GT 500KR mess.
Does anyone know what happened to this site? Did they get shut down or is this just an internet technical problem? By the way, the owner of the KR never did get compensation from Shelby even though many promises had been made. Wayne |

Unless this mess was in court or in the process of a lawsuit being filed how can anyone take legal action against someone for reporting it? I could see that if it was already in the process of lawsuits and etc. before the report was posted. I haven't really followed the thread to much as I normally see enough bad things about the Shelby Mustangs in the Forum on the Shelby site. Ron |
Don't think it's sinister or legal.... I probed the site (which is still up) and the database pointers are whacked.
