Another Failed Presidency
It's starting to look like Obama is going to make Carter look like a Genius.
August 31, 2009 Another Failed Presidency By Geoffrey P. Hunt But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame. http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/...residency.html |
Arrogance and TOO MUCH community organizer training....evidenced by his response to the Harvard professor/Police officer escapade....Obama reacted just like a community organizer (Sharpton or Jesse) would have (went straight to RACE), The problem is he was speaking from the podium in the White House press room....BAD.
Little things like this demonstrate why he is failing....and there are so many more....like telling Netanyahu to stop all settlements....again, just one of many. |
I'll see your americanthinker web site and raise you an americangrandjury web site.

You a "birther"?

If it means I am gullible and believe outlandish stories that come out about our political crowd, I may be. Almost every day, I read about some politician going to Argentina with a hot date or a commie-wanna-be resigning after calling Republicans a$$holes. Our Treasury Secretary is a tax cheat and our Surgeon General is obese...I don't know what I'm going to read next. Maybe the next major headlines will read: "Omar Kadafi elected as New Jersey Governor while in town." I read some gal wants to marry a roller coaster and she's not even in politics......yet. Maybe I can save some of my dignity by commenting on 392cobra's original post...while Obama is failing, it is only recently that he has dropped in the polls with the Democrats. I don't think he will regain the moderates or the right. His main hope is to regain the left. I have to read Charles Krauthammer to get a feeling of balance: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/art...tal_98160.html Bill |
A little bit of character, a littel bit at a time.
:D |
Obama just can't overcome the race thing, make decisions and plans based on what the people want and be an independent thinker. Too much programing of Obama by his left wing promoters...so sad!

I heard there's one of those old printing presses in an European museum that Hawaii used in the early 1960s for birth certificates. Haha! Obama has an army of lawyers fighting this.. he has NOT released his college records, medical records, passport records, vault copy of birth certificate.. etc... He's obviously hiding something.. Some suspect his college records would show he was a foreign student. Even if he was born in the USA, his mother moved to Indonesia and married an Indonesian. Obama was adopted by his mothers husband, Lolo Soetoro, hence the name Barry Soetoro... US immigration law at that time would of caused Obama to lose his US citizenship due to the adoption.. But I like the simple theory he was born in Kenya! Haha..

Pssst, purespeed, read iwantacobra427's post, classic example of the "birther" mentality. There is usually little hope of actually having a reasonable discusssion with a birther, they're feeble mind set cannot handle the truth.
|
Ex,
You think your mentality is so superior of those your deride (on this and many other threads)? I have had tried to have a reasonable conversation with you, but you reject all arguments if favor of your original, liberal position. This doesn't make you a bad person; however, it is super-hypocritical. Stop kidding yourself... |

Now that's funny. |

fstd, you a birther too?
Man, you guys need to get over it. It's a dead end road, your beating a dead horse, the issue has been over for some time. But whatever,,, conspiracy believing groups are all but impossible to reason with. The world is flat, the Nazi's never killed any Jews, the CIA assisinated Kennedy and we never landed on the moon, oh, and Obama wasn't born in Hawaii. Yeah, good luck with that... :) |
Ex,
That's the best you can do? Ask if I am a "birther" because I don't agree with your position? What are you, two years old? I leveled some pretty serious credibility charges against you regarding your hypocrisy; instead of responding, you choose to ignore the substance of my observations, and question if I am a "birther" also; there was no better way for you to illustrate and prove my point. Which is, you are a huge hypocrite...how dare you complain about all the ignorant people making comments about Obama's tendency towards communism, marxism, socialism, whatever and at the first opportunity you ask if I am a "birther" and then imply that I am assumed to be a "birther" and conspiracist, and go on to bunch me and others as defenders of the Nazi myth, etc. in the following sentence. You got some set of stones. You call that reasonable conversation? You are deeply confused about a lot of things. You seem, to me, searching for the "right" answers, without the proper tools to find them. Sad. I have nothing against you personally; I have met plenty of good people that hold your views; your heart is in the right place, but you are clueless with respect to limited government, policy, economics, incentives, etc. The only reason I choose to engage people such as yourself is to hopefully sway those who are on the fence about these issues. You are obviously a lost cause although I can tell from your tone that you think you are some kind of moderate liberal willing to debate. I think it is helpful for you to hear from people that that you live in a dream world; we country cannot afford to just ignore you like we used to. Regards, Fastd |
Just asking a simple question, thats all. So, are you?
I primarily "reject" the BS associated with name calling and references to Nazi's, Socialism, etc. It is counter productive and mean spirited. Other than that, I'm listening and some good ideas have come forth from both sides of the table. However, those folks that are clearly radicalized (birther's for example) add little to the debate. |
What, am I a "Birther"? I haven't really thought about it; I mean he is President now so I don't think it matters. I didn't vote for him for a whole host of reasons having nothing to do with where he was born.
Separately, no defense for your obvious hypocrisy? You are again avoiding the substance of the question on the table in favor of pursuing your groundless accusations...the liberal mind has trouble tracking the logical conversation; it looks to follow the shiny object - you were thinking: "I know, I'll simply disregard the relavant points and I'll call him a name; that will fix his wagon." Classic... |
Both of you will now give it a rest and back away from this thread, OK?
There are plenty other shiny objects around here to keep you both amused. :-) Thanks |
Excaliber - do you realize that 99% of the posters here "reject" practically everything that you post relating to politics/lifestyle? Obama's speech had the same impact on this group - he's way over his pay grade.
If you move back to CA, come visit me - I'd like to show you my new Wood Chipper, sort of like the one in FARGO, but bigger. |
Now that wasn't nice, was it? And it comes within 15 minutes of a Mod asking folks to calm down.
This just won't do. |
