The threat of Chinese financial control is not a US-only issue...it's a North American issue, buddy.

Just my opinion, of course. :)

I hate to admit it, but I like Obama's shot at the Chinese re tires. Seems to have rattled them a bit. I hope the follow-through is better than what the Clintons engaged in during the 90s (accepting huge campaign sums from Chinese business, transferring technologies, etc.). Bush slowed down technology transfer big time, but not enough and a bit late to undo the 90s trangressions by our leaders.

Cross continent for sure. Chinese and Mexican guys row-the-boat for less $ ...yet. Important to point out, it is a non-partisan screwing ...of the middle class. I believe the NAFTA idea is about 20 some years old and gained in every administration along the way.

Had a discussion with Bernie Crain here a couple of years ago about KC donating sovereign land for the Mexican hub in KC. Supposedly, it will fly the Mexican flag such as an embassy would.
