The gator was staring at the 36d's and that was his last thought before she got him.

Shoot them dead center right behind the eyes (like this one) and haul azz over there because they sink like a rock after you hit 'em. Air boat is a must, get the mouth taped up ASAP as well as the tail tied down. Sometimes they're just stunned and a pissed gator on the boat is bad news.
Not as bad as hogs though, shot one twice and still had to climb up a tree. About five minutes later it colapsed, when I cleaned it one of it's lungs was hanging part way out of the hole. Tough animal.
After this I gave up on the 30-30 and use a 45-70, no suprizes.;) |
