holley dual quads

can someone tell me what the original model # was for the dual quads on a 1963-63 ford 427 fe engine ? i kow they were a matches set and one had an electric choke. was it a 4160 series? 650 cfm or ? thanks guys

I have the #'s in the shop, but there are numerous websites that have them as well (SAAC for one). I think you will discover that while one had a choke..it was NOT electric. Tube off the exhaust is what heated them. Electric chokes came later.

thanks for the input. i have 2 1850's it now, but i know they are not correct. if you get a chance and you can send the #'s to me it would be greatly appreciated. meanwhile i will try the saac website.. thanks again.

you mentioned for a 63 427.....the numbers i gave you are for 65 and up medium riser
the low risers were different carbs. C3AF...etc carls has those also.

um, if your using the factory linkage and fuel log you'll be ok, snap a pic of what you have now and i'll be able to tell you for sure. does it look like this?

i am using the factory fuel log and i think this is what it looks like. car is not here right now, but i will check for sure tomorrow. thanks so much for your help. and yes you are right. right now it has the low rise manifold and would need the other # carbs. i will send you a pic if neccessary. thanks again

what heads are you using? are they C5AE-F? if so get the BC\BD carbs if you have the 406/427 low riser heads then use the BJ\BK carbs. this linkage will only be friendly with the factory or the reproduction factory intakes.

Carbs

I have a correct set of BC/BD carbs, that have been beautifully restored/rebuilt. I've bought carbs from Carls Ford before, and these are as nice if not nicer than what I bought from him, email me if you are interested.

the bj\bk's are 600 cfm. sounds like you should go with those.
