Visited Gessford Machine this weekend.
I hauled 2 blocks up to George Anderson this weekend and got a great tour of the facility at Gessford Machine. Wow! I kept mumbling "Is this heaven?" and George would say "no it's Nebraska!". I've never seen so many beautiful FE parts in one place! Had a great time, we sonic checked both blocks and picked the best one for the .050 bore on the 352 becoming a 390 project. What an incredible place that must be to work! George should offer a "motor builder fantasy camp" or something . I saw the pieces for a shelby block 472 stroker engine, velasco billet crank, I can't remember the brand on the rods but they were suitable for framing. Just beautiful! Thanks George for taking the time to show me around and mess with my piddly project!
The heads should be back from K&M this week, if they are I'll bring them to the cruise night on saturday if anyone wants to see them. CDB |
Chuck,
Please stop, we do not want anyone to visit George until he is done with the Twins (CSX 472's). This will only slow him down:D :D Allan |
Oooh, I think that's what I saw.
I'm pretty sure those are the two I saw. Stunningly beautiful. Sorry I probably delayed them by an hour and a half :(.
