Will you come to MAM July 24-25?
Hello fellow Cobra lovers. The Mustang Club of Central Iowa is currently in negotiations to rent the Mid America Motorplex the weekend of July 24-25, 2004. This will be our third annual event at this track. Since it's just up the road from KC, I am asking if any of your members would be interested in attending our event? Cost will be about $150 per day, with a timed autocross planned for Saturday and touring sessions with passengers allowed on Sunday. A dinner will be scheduled for Saturday night to award the trophies from the autocross. We had about 40 cars on saturday last year, with only 20 or so on Sunday. Both days were touring sessions. We're hoping the proposed format change to one day autocross and one day touring will increase attendance. Any interest?

Thanks for the reply. We're working hard to provide a Midwest open track event for the enthusiasts in this area. We just found out that the Northwoods Shelby Club has moved their fall Road America open track event from September to August 27-29. Not the best plan for us, only 2 weeks after our event. We are moving our event to late July in response to their move. That would put us 4-5 weeks before the RA event. Our event will be July 24-25, 2004. Doug |
