MACC Wins Best Club Display
Thought I would share the news and a few small photos with all our friends at Club Cobra.
The Mid-America Cobra Club recently won the Best Club Display award at the 2005 World of Wheels car show in Kansas City. We had a 20' x 100' space, and filled it with nine Cobras and one GT-40. The Best Club Display award is fairly hotly contested each year. We were the defending '04 winners, and knew we'd have to step up our game to best several Corvette Clubs and an impressive SCCA display. So, we got creative, and over the period of several weeks, produced a very cool replica of an S-turn at a road course, complete with astro-turf grass, simulated curbing, a finish line, a flagman, a replica quick-jack and even a miniature cross-over bridge! We also had "The Cobra-Ferrari Wars" DVD playing on a television on one side of the display. Needless to say, it drew crowds and comments all weekend long. Special thanks to all the guys and girls from the club who put in long hours after work and on weekends to make it happen! http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...49P1010681.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...49P1010680.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...49P1010711.jpg |
