Cruise Colorado 2010

Just got through with my narrative for CC 2010 and posted on the Northwest FFCars site.
Thanks to Bob for doing a lot of the narrative that I had forgotten. Hope I didn't step on his toes.

Enjoyed your video and pics, what kind of mileage did you get. You and your wife took some awesome pics, did you have a certain place to go to everyday. I saw you had a few problems anyone else, and where did one of the Cobras get that short top, looks like it came in handy. Not a lot of room in the trunk, but enough for two. How did you store you soft top and side windows? Thank you for sharing the wonderful pics from your trip.

Skully:
At that altitude running a Mass-Flo fuel injection I was getting around 16-18 mpg. Not too shabby for a big block.
The photos were taken throughout the 11-12 hundred miles we covered in the six days of the cruise. One of the things we kept on commenting on was the continuous gorgeous scenery where ever you looked. Pictures and video just don't do it justice. Took about 200 photos and, after editing, ended up with one and a half hours of video. Not enough room to post them all.
Given that there were 20 cars in the group we had remarkably few problems and, when a problem did occur, everyone was there immediately to help and get the car back on the road. With that many people there was just about always someone who had expertise in the problem area.
The short top you see is a "Bimini Top" and I think it was made by the member who's car it's on. If I had double or a single full width roll bar I'd have one in a heart beat. Keeps the sun off and makes a significant difference in creature comfort during the summer.
Enough room in the trunk if you pack carefully and use the corners for my wife and I to take 6 days worth of cloths etc. without needing to find a laundromat. Would have had more room if I hadn't brought my cameras and we had two heavy jackets we never used that could have stayed home as well.
I carry my soft top, side curtains and bows in the trunk. I put the side curtains and bows in first followed by a carefully folded top to spread the bulk out over as much of the trunk as possible. Really doesn't take up all that much room again if done carefully.
