Need a Good Cobra Custom Shop Suggestions?

I have a Factory Five replica that is complete and I want to add the second roll bar. I have the roll bar kit but I am looking for a recommended shop to have it installed. I am not comfortable drilling my finish painted body. I am in the Colorado Springs area but I would not mind a good excuse to run the car to Denver. :D

That's going to be a tricky job. Welding in the bar is probably pretty easy; relativly speaking. You'll have to cut away the alum of the trunk floor to weld in the stubs. But not particularly tricky. Pretty much any good welding shop can do that.

The hard part is cutting in to the body. I would suggest contacting FFR and ask them for a tracing that includes the cockpit edge and all three holes. Or maybe another owner with dual bars can trace it for you.

If I was doing it, I could pretty much count on screwing up the hole cutting part. I would plan on buying a set of bezels to trim it up and cover my mistake.

You might try Legendary Motorport in Castle Rock. Ask for Cliff. 303.688.1002

James,

I just saw a newly finished FFR car yesterday at Lou's. A member of the Mile Hi Cobra Club. He had two roll bars and they looked great. If you want, I will contact him and have him call you or email you. Call me at 303-699-4819. I think he could help you do it. Or at least give you some advise.
