I'd like to invite your club to an open track event August 1-3, 2003, at the new Mid America Motorplex, Pacific Junction, Iowa. 3 days of open track. 3 days of drag racing. Car shows. Live music. Fireworks. Ford SVT displays and show cars. Help celebrate Ford's 100th birthday. $130/day for the open track. Registration is limited. I would certainly be interested in such an event. But my cobra will not be completed in time. :CRY: But i would appreciate any information, i.e. website

MCCI @ MAM 3, July 24-25 2004

This is an update to last year's posting...

I don't believe any of your members attanded last year, but the offer still stands. The dates for the 2004 version of MCCI @ MAM will be July 24-25. All Cobras are welcome to attend. This year's event will feature a timed autocross on Saturday, and a banquet Sat. night to award the autocross trophies. Sunday will be open track touring, with run groups going all day long.

We would really appreciate your support. It takes a ton of time and money to host these events. The Mid America Motorplex was opened with club events in mind. We feel that we need to support the track so it won't go the way of so many others...

Thanks, and I hope to see some or all of you July 24-25. You won't find a better event as far as track time vs cost. We are still in contract negotiations with the track as I type this, so interested parties can keep track of this event when specifics are available at the following web sites:

Doug, could you send me some info on hotels close to the track, also cost for the two days,I will try and round up some interest here. My email is nengel@frontiernet.net please keep me posted, I will take a look at the web sites.

Cost will be about $150 per day, with a discount for coming both days, and an early registration discount. I am expecting a draft of the final contract today. As soon as the contract is final, we will post our event flyers with all the details at:

The club will reserve a block of rooms once the contract and dates are final. Probably in the next 1-2 weeks.
