FYI with more information:;)

This Vietnam veterans group holds an annual Memorial Day event with a cruise from Gardiner, Ma to Cathedral in the Pines in Windham, NH. In the past, there have been about 600 bikes involved. They would like to know if any of us ”gear heads” would have interest to join in with an official escorted cruise up and back from the Cathedral in the Pines where there will be a brief service honoring our military folks past and current that have give the ultimate sacrifice with their lives.

The day would begin by registration and a fee paid which would entitle those to a great barbeque chicken meal with all the fixings, as well as the cruise and afternoon festivities with vendors; music; 50/50 and many other raffles all day long. All profits are donated to worthy nonprofit organizations and scholarship funds.

The NE Cobra Club will be participating and perhaps some from the National Group.

There is space for all makes and vintage of cars , rods & trucks. A State Police escort from Mass & then NH will lead the cruise some 40+miles to Cathedral in the Pines and back to Gardner, Mass.

Those wishing to attend/and or get more info on this event can contact: Vietnam Veterans of America

1985 CCX 05-24-2010 05:28 PM

Good question? Are you coming from the North or the South?

Nantucket427 05-25-2010 08:01 AM

Yes

We will becoming down 93 to 495 out to RT 2 unless someone else has a better way. John & I plan on leaving Franklin NH about 6:30 am for an arrival in Gardner at 9:00 am register and be ready for the 10:00 am start to the Pines. We could schedule a pickup at The Windmill for 7:00am then on to Manchester stop(7:45 am) the old Jordan Marsh parking lot where we met for the FFR Open House. Gardner is about an Hour and 25 minutes from there. I like to have plenty of time and go at a leisurely pace and enjoy the day.;)

I will be leaving Northwood, heading to Portsmouth to pick Tommy up. The two of us will hit 95 to 495, then on to Gardner. If anyone wants to meet up, probably the rest area south of Lowell would be the place. Just name a time and we will be there. Give me a buzz on cell 608-5230.

Just an oops. I put wrong cp down, 608-5231 is correct, or my shop number, 942-5288. Both are on cell.

John

Spoke with Jr today and thought you might take 89 to 202 through to MA border. Will try to get the Family up but that is early and we have no car to register. Will see you there though......

Dennis (SPF) just went by as he is headed there tonight. I heard the VVM wall will be there? Dan's uncle is on that wall, sad loss at 19.
