Monday July 5th Drive?
Anyone up for a nice group drive on Monday the 5th? I've got to visit some customers at a driving event at LRP and from there it will be a nice drive over to Mark's Cruise in Granby (probably the biggest of the year, approx. 1200+ cars).
Total drive loop is 153 miles from our Wallingford Shop. Would leave our place around noon then 90 minutes to LRP, stay at LRP for around 2 hours and check out the racing, then 1 hr. 20 min drive to Mark's, hang at Mark's for a couple hours and then leave when we are ready.
Nice driving roads for the whole trip.

Monday the SCDA will be running on the track. A few Daytona Coupes and FFRs in the mix.

Just an update. Mark's is expecting biggest cruise of the year today and the hours are 3 - 9pm instead of usual later start. We are going to skip Lime Rock and drive up to Mark's and sit in chairs and look at a lot of other nice cars.

I don't know, if it's as hot as today that would be a no... it was an absolute scorcher. I must say though, the Ford 427W ran well and stayed around 96C the whole ride.
They said 650+ cars tonight, I think the heat did a lot of people in. We lost a friend along the way with a '67 Chevelle that through a fan belt.
I think our only trip to NH this year maybe the show at the Bud plant. |
