Lime Rock Car show
I posted this in the Long Island area so I thought I would extend to New England area. I have not seen it posted so here it goes.
Historic Festival presented by Jaguar, Sept 2-5, 2011. Car show is Sunday, gate price on tickets is $25.00 advance price is $20.00. Hope to see some friendly faces and some new. Bob S. |
I attended that show last year and it sure was a good one. There were a lot of good quality cars there. Sorry I have to miss it this year! Have fun!

We should be there, weather permitting. Always have a good time at LRP. Driving the Cobra up there onto the track is great...always a head-turner.

Great show and the vintage races are wonderful!
When I lived in CT, we went every year. Got to do a lap on the track (parade speed) in the FFR daytona coupe, then park on the track for the show. Monday vintage races are awesome! Last time I was there a Ferrari 250GTO was racing two Jaguars in a very aggressive manner! Bring a blanket, lunch, and something fun to drink. Set up on the hillside under a tree for the day and have a blast! |

Hi all. We wil be headed up Sat. and Sun depending on the weather, hopefully in the cobra. Any interest in meeting up for the drive up? We're in Farmington and would run up Rt 4 or 44. Let me know.

For those leaving from Long Island
McDonalds on Hempstead Tpke in Uniondale opposite Nassau Coliseum. ¼ mile WEST of Meadowbrook Pky PLease fill your tanks the night before and remember to bring your EASY PASS Meeting Time: 6:15am Departing Time: 6:30am Returning Time: 2:00pm ish On the way we will make a pit stop at the Putnam Diner on Route 22 in Patterson, NY for a sit down breakfast. Route: Hempstead Tpke to Meadowbrook Pky North, merging into Northern State Pky West (Grand Central Pky), to Cross Island Pky North. Over Whitestone Bridge to Hutchinson River Pky North. Once on the Hutch we will continue to Route 684, then directly onto route 22 taking route 44 in Millerton to route 112 to Limerock Park. The return trip will be the same routes 112, 44 and 22 as in years past, why...well because we know where all the gas stations are located. |
