2012 Fall Run Planning Discussion
August is here so time to get the seeds planted for our annual Fall Drive in the CT/MA/RI/NY region. 2011 was a lot of fun and took us into the NY region, but we lost some of the crew that preferred a northern run to the Northwest corners of CT.
We have a much longer list of customers in the area and at a distance who are expressing interest in the event this year. Several plan to travel a pretty good distance and spend a night or 2 in the area to enjoy the drives.
So we have the opportunity this year to plan a Saturday drive and a Sunday drive and hope the weather cooperates with both or one of the routes.
Target is a weekend in October. Thoughts???

Sunday October 14th is the second to last gathering in 2012 of Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, CT. Perhaps that could be included in the Sunday drive.

The 20th is my vote. I should be able to make it if the 14th, just not the wife. She wanted to go this year.

You mean a lap on the track? We don't have as tight a relationship there, I could probably facilitate it somehow at Monticello if I call in a favor or three...

The later in the month it is planned limits us in a couple ways... if we have to reschedule we could run out of suitable weekends and also the later we go into October then we want to drive south instead of north.

Mary and I both would be able to make the 13th or 14th, the 20th or 21st I can make alone.

Hoping this post was coming soon :D. Does the 20th seem like the more probable choice then... I'll pencil it into the calendar. Hope everyone has been out enjoying these past few "rain-free" weekends. Let's hope for more to come!

I'm going to set it for the 13th and 14th of October based on the Foliage Maps etc. We have a lot more details coming, but those are the dates we will use.
Stay tuned...

My wife and I are coming. We will arrive Friday evening or so and plan to stay for both runs. Jay, how late will you be at the shop for drop off Friday?
