registering in New Hampshire.
FFR2290 is currently registered in AZ as a 1965 specialty constructed vehicle.
The car was built in 2000. What is the process for getting it registered in N.H.? Will it need emissions testing safety inspection etc? |
OOOOH Mikie...you're in deep doodoo now!

There is no trick, go to local register and make it 65 you will be fine.
No emissions |
This says vehicles newer than 1996 need emissions testing. New Resident of New Hampshire | Division of Motor Vehicles | NH Department of Safety
I don't think you're going to need to. What date is cast into your block? |
The motor came from a 92 Mustang.

I think you'll have no trouble registering it as "the model year it most closely resembles".
Shelby isn't listed as a manufacturer so a lot of us will go Ford Roadster for make and model. It's no problem, just bring your paperwork you have, read up on it ahead of time so there's no question on the day. I think you'll find you have an antique or custom built vehicle exempt from any emissions. You could even run blue dots if you wanted. How to Register a Custom or Antique Vehicle in New Hampshire | DMV The plates say Live Free or Die, your Arizona pals read that as Live Freeze then Die. |
Mike, current NH law says a car needs to be titled/registered as the year it was manufactured. There have been a number of Cobras registered here as 1965, but that was because of ignorance or leniency on the part of town clerks and state troopers involved.
Based on my experience last year, if you have a current title, it's a pretty sure thing that it will be registered according to that, no matter what year the title says. So if your title says 65, you are golden. I jumped through hoops trying to get my Hi-Tech registered as a 65, but was unable to do so. Here's the discussion of that experience...you can see the inconsistencies. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/new-...ration-nh.html Bill |
