2290 up and running again. I hope
Been having some intermittent dying issues with the car. About 2 months ago while heading to Mass the car died on 93. I cranked it a few times no start. I check to see if I had gas at the carb. Squirters had a good spray. Hopped back in and the car started. Drove back home. The next day joined Bill and others for a jaunt around the lake. Everything was good.
last month it dies again on 93. Sat for 5 minuted, it started up and continued for another trip to Mass. Last week I was out for a drive and it died 6 miles from the house. waited the 5 minutes. Started up so I went back home. 3 miles later it died again. Got home. Figured either fuel of electrical. Turned on the key and checked the fuel pressure gauge. It was bouncing from 2 to 5 lbs. Next AM checked and now showing 1 LB. Would not adjust with the regulator. Fuel pump. I changed the pump, Holley Blue.. Pressure now adjusts correctly. Set it to 5 lbs. Just for grins, changed the cap, rotor and plugs. They needed it. Took it out yesterday for a quick 15 minute jaunt. Good Today out for half an hour. Good. Tomorrow I'm taking it to Shooters Outpost in Hookset, |
Did about 3 hours today. Everything seems good to go.
