This Weekend - 10-5-2002
Well the days are getting down to a precious few. Here are the choices for the upcoming weekend.
This Thursday, Friday and Saturday Skip Barber is racing at Lime Rock, rain or shine. Anyone interested in road racing or Skip's operation should come up and watch. The track has a terrific restaurant. I'll be racing all three days, I've got the black 85 Aires or the silver and black SPF depending on the weather. Look for the red Mets hat. If you come up, find me. There is no charge to enter the track grounds! This Sunday there is a show at Hammonassett. There is also a show in New Milford (or New Fairfield). Check bargainnews.com. Is it an open track event? Give me the details. I understand the car show in New Fairfield at Squantz Pond is nothing great or so I have been told. There is a show Sunday at Fox Lane High School in Bedford, NY which is supposed to be good. Stu |
Hey Stu:
All the racing is rent-a-car. They are open wheel, 150 HP Formula Dodges, slicks, wings, sequential 5 speeds. They will do a lap of LRP (1.53 miles) in under 58 seconds! We race rain or shine. Thursday is practice, 2 sessions per group, 5 groups. Friday is 1 practice per group (16 cars per group), 1 race per group (27 laps). Saturday is 1 race per group (27 laps) and a memorial race. Bob |
