April 10th WPLR 99.1 Car Show West Haven CT
Yesterday on the drive home I was listening to WPLR 99.1 FM and Mike Lapitino mentioned a charity event car show that would be held in West Haven. Admission for cars is $10. The show will be on Saturday April 10th. The first 50 cars arriving will get some sort of gift. I do remember that there was no rain date and he was specific about that and no rolling boom boxes or burnouts will be tolerated.
At present, I do not know of any more particulars, like the hours and time. I went to the WPLR web site but did not find anything listed for the event (yet). I think this would be a nice event for all of us CT NE Cobra Enthusiasts to attend. We can have some time to see our cars, and get ourselves organized. If the weather is good... Who's In? Bob, Joe, Bill, Gary, Stu, Gene, John, Mike??? Let's discuss this... Bob, you have "connections" do you know more about this? |
Can you give me a general idea where West Haven is? By the coast, north of Hartford etc.

Naturally it happens to be my weekend of call. Must be some kind of conspiracy. But then again I am on call every other weekend. Still keep us up to date on details.

It's on April 12th. It's at Jimmies of Savin Rock. Show time is from 10-2. It will benefit a local food bank. Jimmies is right on the water in West Haven (west of New Haven). The lot is big and paved.
I found the details on Yahoo advanced search by entering ""car show" "west haven" april". Just get directions to Jimmies and you're there. Bob |

Art, The 3rd Annual Classic Car Show is April 10, 2004 from 10am to 3pm at the West Haven Convention Center. Addmission is $10.00 with proceeds going to the CT Food Bank. First 50 cars get a WPLR license plate bracket (be still my beating heart), trophies for car classes. My car should be ready by then, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Ok, so it is at the West Haven Savin Rock Conference Center
located at 6 Rock Street in West Haven, CT If you go to Mapquest you can get directions for it. This has a really large outdoor parking lot right next to Jimmy's which is a seafood place on the Sound. I do hope you guys can make it down if the weather is nice.
