Another MA Sema Legislation Update
The Massachusetts Association of Automobile Clubs (M.A.A.C) and the SEMA Action Network are working together to coordinate and mobilize the various clubs in the area on legislative issues in Massachusetts. We urge you to attend their next meeting on Wednesday, April 26 to learn more about this important statewide organization.
In this legislative session, lawmakers are considering hobby-friendly legislation to provide titling and registrations classes for street rods and custom vehicles (H.B 2212). At the same time, they are entertaining a harmful proposal which would restrict sale and installation of aftermarket exhaust systems (H.B. 2011). It’s safe to say that you and your club members would have been directly impacted by one or both of these proposals. Combining your efforts with those of MAAC will provide an excellent opportunity for enthusiasts and clubs to influence lawmakers in Boston. We encourage all Massachusetts car clubs to send a representative to the next M.A.A.C meeting on Wednesday, April 26 at the Endicott Estate in Dedham. Please contact Dean Zwicker (ZWHIZZERMAN@aol.com) of M.A.A.C (see attached newsletter) for more information. Thank you!
