CT & LI guys - Karting 3-31-07 at OTK
Hey Kids:
This Saturday (3-31-2007) some Skip Barber guys and I will be turning some laps at OnTrackKarting in Wallingford. We'll be there at 10:00am. All session will be $15 with no membership fee. This is a fine facility, and it's easy to get to. Lap times run around 38 seconds. So if you're looking for something different for a Saturday morning feel free to join us. I went up there with my family a couple of months ago, upon your recommendation of the site, Bob. It's a first class operation from what I experienced. The helmets are clean, they provide head socks, and even have full suits for those that want them. Gloves are a must to bring, though. I didn't get to mingle with the hotshots in the adults class but managed to finish a respectable 3rd best in 3 heats. I went for a membership as it was the best deal planning to come back for another stint. The drive is a pleasant 2 hrs unless you get caught in rush hour traffic coming home (which I did on a Friday, 4 hrs.). I do highly recommend it.
I can't come this weekend but plan on doing so in the next few weeks. Cheers! |
We had about a dozen guys on Saturday, it was a fun time. Maybe, later this spring we can put another event together.
