Yeah, I can tell. Nothing but weeds. I feel so sorry for him....

Now you're talking. I like it. The weedy one reminded me of my houase less the ocean veiw............

At least bthe sun came out yesterday. I went for a long ride down some roads that said "Private Property - Violators will be XXXXXXXX".
Found some nice deserted beaches. But I found a nice place for my Turtle. No road sign, but .... http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...n/DSCN3703.jpg About 1/4 mile in the dirt road ... a nice little pond. Turtle might even share it with the Humpin Ho Sisters.:LOL: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...n/DSCN3705.jpg |
Some of the houses that have been allowed to be built on the island should be burned to the ground. Here is a really ugly one ... thankfully its on a dirt road about a mile from any paved road.

:)
Nice pictures Warren. That house with all of the weeds doesn't look as if it is very far above sea level. Do the weeds act as a sea wall in case of a large wave. Ron :D |
Ron
That house is at least 80 feet above hi tide. Some of the houses that have been allowed to be built on the island should be burned to the ground. Here is a really ugly one ... thankfully its on a dirt road about a mile from any paved road. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...n/DSCN3754.jpg A giant cement block has more good looks than this place. And note that a really good gardener must own this place. Great landscaping job. |
On the other hand, some of the "modern" style homes are nice looking. I hate 95% of the monstrosities, but this one I like (make that 'don't hate').

Warren,
I guess the camera angle made it look like that house was so low. I have to agree with you on the ugly. Who designed that house. A shoe box designer. Ron  |
I also found a place for the Humpin Ho Sisters .... :o:o:o

How about some old beach shacks for changing in/out of your bathing suit. These pics were at the end of a long dirt road that said PRIVATE PROPERTY every 300 feet or so. But the young Indiana Jones loves to explore the hidden gems on the island. From this beach spot on the north shore of the island, you can only see ONE house, so you know you are in the midst of huge estate lots. The billionaires on the island like their security.

Nice,
I could stand to live in that area for a few weeks. No one around and peace and quiet. Except for the occasional trespasser that can't read the signs. Ron :D |
Ron
One time last year a lady yelled at me as I drove by her house and said "Do you know this a private road?" And I said "OK, I will not tell anyone. I'll keep it private." The look on her face was unbelievable. |
Finally a afternoon with a half decent sunset.

Another bridge on the island that the Tedasarus has not fallen off (yet).

Warren, That come back on the Private Road thing was great. The elite in Redding have a long paved private road and one of my friends lives right next to the last house on it. Now that I no longer have the Cobra they took a time or two to get to know the Comet. But they are all nice people or at least the ones that I have met and talked to are. The pictures are great. That sunset would make a great post card picture. As for the bridge, it is nice and rustic looking, but unless it is a lot stronger than it looks I doubt if it would hold Tedasarus up and it would be a shame to see it broken in the middle. Ron :p |
Sunset from a week ago. I've been busy so got a lot of pics.
