Every year I buy a couple of new light fixtures and a bunch of CFL bulbs. National Grid gives a big discount to residents in MA, CT and RI, up to 6 bulbs and 6 fixtures per year.

This year I just bought 4 torchiere light fixtures. They were only $13.50 each. I put 2 in the cellar and one in the garage. What a deal. They work great. Bought 2 white and 2 black.

I just a little while you will be under 6' of snow for MONTHS.

You spent $54 for four light fixtures that put out whole lot less heat.
120 vs 800 degrees.

Did you save the old fixtures ?

Huh? What old fixtures? With the CFL bulb, you get the equivalent light of a standard 250 watt bulb with a CFL bulb of 55 watts.

Everything is new, no trade in required.
