Governor Rell is at it again
Good news Connecticut drivers, Governor Jodi Rell (Republican (Woman)) is at it again. This morning (2-9-2009) the news announced that the governor wants to spend $1,000,000 to put cameras on Route 95 which will monitor our speed, snap a picture of our license plates and then send us a ticket. Since all of I95 in Fairfield County is posted at 55 or below I'll probably get 10 tickets a day. When will this Orwellian government get out of our lives?
Why not just set the speed limit to 10MPH on all roads and eliminate all accidents? Call your state senator and representative now! Bob |
Talk about return on investment!

And we're opening the liquor stores on Sunday?!?! That should help things along.
|
We have these in Az. new gov wants to get rid of them. Janet pushed for them, they are not generating the revenue they had hoped for.
|
Is he really a true republican?
I say no..... |
That should make the Merritt into an even deadlier setup... avg. speed over there has to be about 85 as it is.
|
Jeff: "True Republicans" apparently disappeared when the neocons took over...

Jeff:
Jodi is a "she"! She was the next in line to our previous Republican governor (John Rowland) who was removed from office and did a stretch in prison on corruption charges. She said she was totally unaware of what was going on in her boss' office. So she is either a jerk or a liar. Bob |
I beg to disagree about 'true republicans'....
When the neocons swarmed in like locusts, we just became libertarians! |
Hey 427:
Your tag line at the end reminds me of a girl I knew in a former life - she would always say to me "Estne volumen in toga, an solum tibi libet me videre?" I think it meant "Some day exciting men will drive small powerful cars named for a serpent!" Bob |
