John and I would like to see if anyone is interested in going to "Thunderama"? It is the New Engalnd Thunderbird show at Shaker Villiage exit 18 off 93. We went one year, they loved us "Best in Show" award. Pretty place we were all displayed on the grass, great people and alot of Ford cars there. This is billed as the largest gathering of T-Birds in New England and it could be the largest gather of Shebly cars in New England if we could get a showing like last week at the Vintage Racing. Any of you Mass and Factory Five Guys up for it? :D

John and John
Are you going in the SPF? Need to check the schedule as we have graduation parties this year! |
John
You know I would go anywhere you are!!! I will check my calendar, I started shooting hi power rifle again this year, and if it does not conflict with a shoot, I will be there. I might just go anyway. I MIGHT even have the top off! Tom |
Tom,
Great to hear you are still out and about. We all were looking for you last weekend..... |
Sorry Jeff, I did not make it. We had our first shoot of the year, and I had to dust off the cobwebs on the old M1 Garand.

If the car gets painted
The car is already except for paint. :D I can't do that so I have to wait. :( The car was suppose to go yesterday but the painter has postponed again. He hurt his back which has limited his working hours. If I can wait he will get to it but not for awhile. He is very good and I want a very good show quality job. I also would like to drive the car this year, I am looking for a new painter.

John,
Nick works with a painter via the custom rods. Will be the guy to paint my doors when done. ERA has a good painter? |
J&J... I remember that show. Met you guys there and left my car in the parking lot. It was a pretty nice event. Like Jeff, I have stuff going on as well with grad parties and a birthday around that time. But will see if I can squeeze it onto the calendar.
Tom.... Good to hear you are getting the old Garand back into shape... How's the thumb???? Wonder if there is anyone one else on this site that know what an "M1 thumb" is? :D You only have to loose the nail once.... you will never forget it! |
Maybe
The Factory Five Open House is the day before. I'll have to check with the boss to see if I can get out twice in the same weekend. Sounds like it could be a fun time.

When I qualified for the NH State Hi Power rifle team back in 83, yes, that is 19 not 18, my old shooting partner, then a Fed cop, told me of his friend who had "Garand Thumb", and yes, like Custer said---"I'll know next time"!
John, I don't know where the car is, but I had Gordon Vanderpool do my paint. He does business as New England Kustom and Collision in Hillsboro. You know what kind of job he did. 464-5551. His son Tom might answer the phone. Tell them I said hi. Tom |
Nick recommended
John Fairhurst in Belmont NH will be painting my car and many other fine cars with his new downdraft spray booth. John was very knowlegdeable and he loves cobras.:3DSMILE:

John
Glad to hear you found someone to shoot color. Just make sure he uses a new push broom when he applies the final coat. It comes out much better! Let me know how you make out. Tom |
John
Has anyone had any ideas of meeting for breakfast before show, or are we just showing up randomly at Thunderama? I'm ALWAYS hungry. Tom |
Tom,
My thoughts exactly............ |
No Paint, No Show
Jeff can I drive?:3DSMILE:
|
So, what's the plan? 8 AM at the Windmill?
