I use 'em!! Great prices with a "drive to work" clause too!

I have had them since the day I purchased my Cobra. Easy to work with. No problems.

I got to meet Robbin at the London Car Show several times. He shares and supports our passion. Stop and talk to him if you see his stand at the show.

but if they are a small little privately held company, will they pay if you have a claim?

If they are solid, I might be interested.

Robbin at Midwest Classic is awesome! They write their policies through American Modern Insurance Group.

I switched last year from a company that was writing their policies through Infinity. The Infinitiy policy kept going up so I decided to shop around. My Farmers agent of 25 years couldn't beat the policy and coverage.

I paid a small amount extra for full glass coverage. Well, I had to use it recently when I took a rock to my windshield. No hassle claim. Robbin's team opened the claim for me and American Modern contacted me immediately. I submitted a writte quote from a local Cobra repair shop and American Modern sent me a check before the repair was done.

Bottom line. Call Robbin at Midwest Classic don't mess around with anyone else.

I believe Midwest Classic used to go through Infinity also. If anybody go's to Midwest Classic you might want to check who they are passing it thru first. I believe they used to use 3 or 4 different companys.

I used Robbin at Midwest Classis before while I was building but added the CR to my standard insurance company for less. This was because I have all of my insurance (house and cars) through the one company and they would not insure the CR while building.

I went through Robbin and am still covered by them and the policy is with Infinity. I have not had any price increase in the past 3 or 4 years.

Midwest uses American Modern. I filed a claim with them last fall, no complaints at all on how it was handled.

Brent thanks for the post and even more so thanks for those that mention they are doing business with us. I've been in the collector car business for quite some time of my 35 years as an insurance agent. It's a little funny when the cars I wrote when I got into the business in 1979 are worth more now than they were then - damn I'm old!!!!

We appreciate the business we have received from the readers of Club Cobra as we are mentioned quite often on the page in the past. I thought it was only fair to Brent that we actually purchased advertising on the page to help keep it up and running.

We do write with two carriers, Infinity and American Modern. Both are great Companies to work with and they insure my own personal collector cars. I have to admit I do not own a Cobra because you can't get a size 10 foot in a size 7 shoe.

What I like most about writing insurance is helping people with questions or problems. I actually just got off the phone with a mother that was trying to find insurance on her son's car while he is in Afghanistan. She said she called one of our competitors that took her money and application but then said they no longer write Cobras. She was excited when we talked and I told her we sometimes write 3-4 a day.

Because this is our busiest time of the year I do not have a chance to check places like message boxes and such so the best way to reach me is by phone or email. My email is robbin@midwestclassicins.com. Some of my clients will tell you that I email replies back at all times of the day and night so when you get something from me at 2:00 in the morning, it's not a machine typing it's me.

We look forward to helping anyone that might be looking for coverage this year or just wants to price shop to see if they are getting a good deal. If you have a good price and good coverage, I'll even tell you so. I volunteer to run the day to day operations of our local not for profit ambulance so helping people is kind of into my blood. Hope we can help you as well.

Thanks,

Robbin Terry

I switched to them last year (all of my cars) after my carrier up to that time (American Collectors Insurance) wanted extortion money to cover my ERA. I've never had a claim with any insurance company in 45 years of driving (exept filling windshield chips and the like) but not long after switching to Midwest my old Corvette quit on me on the road one night. Their flat bed towing policy took good care of me with no out-of-pocket expense. So far so good and I would recommend them.
