What I found interesting was the oil filler cap ... 5W-50 oil. Seems like quite a broad weight range, given the trend towards lighter and lighter oil over these days. Sorry for the thread drift ... ;)

There is a lot of uncertainty about whether the engine will be made available as a crate engine. Ford reports that the balancing is not limited to the engine alone and that engine mounts and other portions also have to be designed properly or it will vibrate horribly. I would wait for someone else to forge the path for use in a small car like a Cobra. :)

Almost all of the higher performance engines use the 5w50, with a special ford formulation that until recently was only available from Ford. Amsoil now cliams to have an oil that meets that spec. It started with the Ford GT, and then the GT500's. I'm not surprised to see Voodoo use it too.
