New Classified Ad System in place!

Ok, instead of using forum areas where it's difficult to search, impossible to delete when sold without my assistance, and generally messy as people post personal replies, etc....we're going to use the setup at http://www.clubcobra.com/classifieds.php

Go to the appropriate folder, and click the submit ad link, and it's all easy from there. Let me know how it works out.

Enjoy.

Great Idea. Already curious about a Big Turk Bar

Brent,
THANK YOU... Just in time before I became homicidal!

Great feature and works fantastic.

You can use img and url tags in the description to add links and pictures. If you have questions on how to use these tags, go to the FAQ. They work the same as in the forums.

I liked it better the other way:(

What happened to Turk's ad was not right, but it was only one case out of many posts. As a builder on a tight budget, the parts for sale forum was the first place that I would go every morning(don't tell my boss)....With the Forum format it was just one click to look at all of the latest listings, now I've got to check each catagory to see if there is anything new....IMHO this is a step backward.

I agree with Jon,
To look through each catagory is a MAJOR PAIN!!

take a look at the view count, way down from the old system. bet curt scott would like it!

Brent -
The new advertising method is a very professional and efficient product.
It provides very quick access to a given brand of Cobra for sale.
However, it is not as much fun - the old system generated allot of related and non-related comments which I thought good - but then I do not have to administrate the old method.

Good luck and many thanks on your
continued efforts for this site.

I hear ya fellas. Lets give it a little time, as the view counts are down because there's not a million replies to each of the posts. Quantity in this case isn't necessarily a better thing in this case.

Now, if stick with it for a while, and it doesn't work out, then we can always go back.

Excaliber 10-05-2002 12:49 AM

I like the new format. RTTAB makes an interesting point how ever. Similiar to looking things up in an encyclopedia book often spawns whole new ideas and questions and the thrill of discovery.

Looking it up on the CD rom, is much more efficient. You get right to the point of your search. Is that a good thing, I keep wondering? LOL

So, I'm thinking about buing the "books" for my boy!

Ernie

And so I can learn how to spell "buying"............

BRENT, BIG HINT THERE ABOUT THE SPELL CHECKER, ha ha.

Turk 10-05-2002 09:57 PM

The count is lower than before, because it no longer allows for unrelated bickering regarding the sale of a an item. Whether it is a car or a part.

HEY, BRENT - - - -

I THINK THE NEW SYSTEM IS GREAT. THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS WITH THE "MOST RECENT LISTINGS" SECTION.

IT'S QUICK AND EASY TO USE - EVEN FOR A "KupYEWteR klUtZ" LIKE ME.

THANKS FOR CONTINUING TO MAKE THE C/C FORUM THE BEST THERE IS.

Y'ALL HAVE AREALLY GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK.
