They are trying desperately to crack down on street racing.
While the cobra would fit into my catagory of "modified vehicle" unless you built yours EXACTLY as replica. But they are not looking to take your car unless you appear to be using it for street racing. I don't know alot of guys who build a cobra for that reason. Plain and simple.. don't ever let them think you MIGHT have been POSSIBLY, MAYBE racing!! haha |
Last weekend was our Thanksgiving long weekend. Here in Ontario, they confiscated over 300 cars, that were street racing. I have been told that they keep them for a week, then the owner can get them back. I have also been told if your car is involved in street racing where there is injury or death, the police can seize your car and have it crushed. They are really cracking down on the street racing here, now. In the past year there has been at least 2 deaths due to kids racing their little Hondas. I have a friend who is a Metro cop and he tells me they will not confiscate "modified" cars, per say, unless they are involved in street racing.
