ERA's 289 Slabside

Look Here

See our FIA section for general mechanical details. "Major" (wheels, etc.) changes will be detailed on our site soon.

Does this mean you will be offering this to the masses? What a gorgeous car!

ERA Team,

GREAT JOB! :D
I am looking forward to seeing this first hand. After a conversation with Peter P, I would like all to know that this car will be part of their line up moving forward. I am hoping to get to ERA in the next couple weeks to see this one first hand.

Great team effort and of course what a great car.............
Their really is a market for the SS cars.

I have been following the build as well with great interest and agree ERA did an outstanding job ... for lack of a better word ... Wow!

It's great to see a builder of ERA's caliber offer a car that pays tribute to the early cars and one that has the quality and attention to detail that ERA brings to the table.

I suspect this is just the first of many more to come !

Thats what i was looking for when I built my car ........Thats NICE.....

One of our club members has one of these, the Light Blue one - Removed image due to mistaken identity. Although the car IS an ERA, it is a replica of the FIA car, not a 289 slabside. Sorry for the confusion

Nice.

Bob,
Nice Job. Looks great.

Was it a bear getting the exhaust tucked in - or did you not use the regular ERA Jag/IRS subframe setup?

PurpleVenom:
While it is a 289 body style, it is an FIA version - not a slabside. And are you sure that's an ERA?

On the topic of this thread - kudos to ERA for yet another gorgeous car.

A beautiful machine built by the best !!!!

kayakjack 05-18-2009 07:52 AM

What a beautiful car!! The few real Cobras I saw "back in the day" were all street 289s. They looked like this new offering from ERA. This looks like a great new car.
