I strongly suggest Krytox, it has no hydrocarbons/traditional oil which may cause the bushings to swell, causing your noise to return.

I'm not up on the type suspension on a Superformance but I would change out all those rubber bushings with Polyurethane if possible. I did all mine and it makes a whole hell of a lot of difference.

I have used pure graphite with great success. You can find it at Home Depot key section.
When you take it apart do the parts still have lube on them? are there any dry spots that would indicate where the rub is happening? And the suspension is not binding? If you remove the spring/shock/swaybar does the suspension travel free and smooth? Does it occur under load or coasting? Is it consistently reproducible? |
Still lubed...no dry areas and no damage to the bushing or galling on the bushing shaft or control arm ears, and it is completely free / no binding. It does it any time you hit the smallest bump. Two squirts of WD and it's gone. Just like the grease, dry lube, and lithium I've tried.
I've been able to find every squeak, crack and knock in every vehicle I've owned but this one is killing me. |
