Good wheel shop?
Anyone have a recommendation for a good, full-service (repair and refinishing facilities) wheel shop in the Greater Sac area, preferably northernish?
I have one rear that loses about a pound a day - which was reported to me by the original owner - and the tires are near-new and show no puncturing items. At a minimum, a clean remount is needed; just possibly this Trigo isn't as air-tight as it should be. I'd like to drop it off with a shop that can accurately diagnose and fix the problem even if it means sealing the wheel. A shop that's handled something besides truck rims and dubs would be nice. :D |
Precission Wheel Works .....They straighten, polish and do other repairs on wheels. The place does'nt look like much but they polished all 4 of my Superformance wheels for $150.
"Some of the services they perform are: wheel straightening, wheel welding, they paint wheels, refinish wheels, polish, and they can set you up with a company to chrome your wheels. The repairs take about a week to complete, but you can schedule an appointment to get your wheel done in one day." http://www.yelp.com/biz/precision-wh...rks-sacramento |
Ah, aces. They're even on my usual rounds.
Do you know if they mount and balance? Seems like they would, but sometimes specialization gets narrow... :) |
Frankly I don't know...I use Motor Sport Image & Performance Inc, 812 Atlantic St, Roseville, CA 95678. (916) 784-2323. I've used them for 3 years for all my cars...frame/ alignment/ balance issues.
Gordon Gimble and John Marcey use their services and John comes from Sonoma. John is the director/organizer of track days in Thunderhill for the Cobra group. tom |
