Watch out on Salmon Falls!
There was a story on the news yesterday about CHP cracking down on speeders and "agressive drivers" for a while. Watch out Smokey's out there!

Guess I'll stay off S.F road this weekend in the Cobra. Thanks for the heads up. Might go for a drive Sunday if the weather is good.

Any time you drive Salmon Falls Road, you should always expect:
- CHP / Tickets for speeding - any weekend
- Motorcycles/cars swinging wide coming head on into your lane at turns
- Accidents / Ambulances on nice weather days!
- People walking on the sides of the road
They have no choice but to keep idiots off that road. People are hurt there all the time. Its one of those love/hate roads. It makes me nervous every time I go up that way. A few friends have paid the price there, and I've seen multiple accidents. One time two guys on bikes right in front of us overshooting a turn ejecting bike and body flying over the side of the hill during one of our Cobra runs. We don't go there any more.
If you ask around, you might even get a few other folks to pipe in here how they have wrecked up their Cobras on that road too. Not a safe place to be. Many threads on it over the years. |

And that is not to mention the clowns who put oil down on the road to deter people from using it as a raceway. Seems as if some angry home owners up there don’t like noisy cars and bikes disturbing their peace and quiet. I agree with Duane SFR is NOT the place to go anymore.

Yep.
A two lane race track with cars and bikes going both ways.
Maybe it's good that the truly stupid stay on just one road......leave the rest of the roads to those with common sense?
