HRAY,
You might not have seen the post last month about the Ione breakfast that was suppose to occur for September / 3rd Saturday - but it did not get planned for September due to the Perry Creek Winery event going on the 17th, on our normal 3rd Saturday meetup time. With lots of people just coming back from summer vacations and the 100 degree heat lately, not too many have been jumping out of their skin to drive the cars yet. Usually Sept is our biggest month for meetups too. You might check out the PC thing, and I'll ask around to see if anyone is still trying to meet for breakfast.

Ray,
Did some checking around and there are a number of other things going on that people are doing this 3rd Saturday. I did not run into many doing Perry Creek but there was mention of the Rocklin Car show and other Bay area things going on. Some talked about doing a breakfast meetup but nothing confirmed, and I'm not planning on it either. Looks like people are pretty much checking out other stuff this month. Check ya next time.

We are ditching Rocklin and doing the Perry Creek event--it was very nice last year plus the glass is awesome.

Thanks Duane,
Looks like I got myself into other stuff as well. I am hosting a series of custom upholstery seminars here at my place so I am getting things ready for that. And a big long Harley cruise on Sunday. So catch up with everyone next month.

Hey Rod,
Not that I'm aware of with the folks I typically run with. Some of us were originally thinking of attending or at least driving up & back to PC for a few hours but it seems other things came up for different people and nothing was solidified. I got caught up in something else myself on Saturday, but if that changes, I'll be looking to get the car out myself for a coffee or something. TTYL.

Hey Gary. Its a great deal... now.... Its unfortunate they did not offer this from the start. Looks like they were charging $25 per person "with Cobra" up until the past week or so. Just a few days ago someone noticed they changed it on their website to free entry "with Cobra". They probably did not know how to let everyone know about the change in time. I spoke to Christie there after some folks were giving feedback. Bummer is, by then most everyone who went last year with Cobras bailed out this year to go do something else instead. I did see at least 3-4 Cobras on the list though this year which is good. Hopefully next year they/we can get the word out better on the entry details. Maybe next year they could just ask for the entry fee to be to buy a bottle of wine to help cover costs instead of trying a fee then having to resort to offering it for free later. In any case, it should be fun, have a glass of Cobra Syrah for us will ya, and be sure to tell Christie and Dieter sorry we missed out this year and hopefully we'll see them next year. I'm still thinking a few folks might show up out there last minute, but I won't be able to go. Have fun.

Last year they had the same offer--that's how we knew "cool car" meant free entry. I know some of the River City Shelby guys will be there with their Cobras, I may take my Tiger. Last year all types of cars were ok to bring.
