Sacramento Area Ceramic Coating Advice

I am thinking about redoing the ceramic coating my exhaust pipes and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations about Sacramento area coating shops. Advice about who to go to or even who not to go to is appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Bob

Hi Bob,

I had all my coating done at American Industrial Coatings, Inc. in Carmichael (916) 944-3300. They did an excellent job!

I'm glad to be of some assistance. :) Yes, I hate to see it go. It has been loads of fun. :(

Is this the place behind American Pastimes? If so they did a great job on my street rod headers and exhaust.

Bob,
AIC in Carmichael did the alumi coating on the pipes for my prior black car. Back then AIC did not do the egg shell texture, only shiny or flat, but I bet he does now. Perfect-It Sandblasting and Coating off Sunrise near the recycle yards (under former owner) did the black pipes on my current Blue car. Not sure if the new owner is still doing as good of a job or not, but you might call and see. I had these same pipes on the car when it was Silver, and did not have to redo them or anything when I repainted the ERA. Holding up good so far. BTW: You might think about the mufflers before you recoat them. Some of the early generation SPF mufflers were very restrictive. You can pick up a little torque and HP and actually take the backpressure pop out of your ears with a different design.. if you go with the upgraded more freeflow heads later on down the road, you might think now about swapping out the mufflers now too FWIW. Many of the SPF guys are running the same SS mufflers like I have on the ERA; i.e. quieter at lower rpm, more freeflow at high rpm. D
