I'm going the same way on I5 through Santa Nella, but we are towing four cars down with a detour and a few stops afterwards. My preference would be driving the Cobra taking 37>101>CA-1 with a quick right turn just after the Golden Gate through Ocean Beach then South. If you turn immediately, and don't keep going on 101; get straight to CA-1 its not that bad as long as you don't have buckboard suspension. We've taken this route many times in the Cobras smooth sailing all the way to Monterey. Fun drive.

Ed, Peets is not next to Mels. The place next to Mels is called "Its a Grind". There is a Peets in Folsom but its in a different location off East Bidwell.

I'm thinking you meant Its a Grind Coffee next to Mels. Just making a note of it in case it matters to anyone who might of thought to go to Peets instead.

Friends,

I have cancelled our trip today due to unforseen health issues.

See you all later

Thanks, Danny

I had a reaction to a vicidon pill, that mimmicked a stroke and went to emergency for a quick diagonisis of bells palsy. No muscle activity on the right side of the face.

I`m happy to report I`m about 90% now.

I hear a great time was had by all .

Maurice, we definitely missed you there. I will say though...with everything going on during Monterey Car Week, the one thing we really missed was the great drives up the coast. The good news is we can go right back down there for a makeup session.

Several have brought this up recently and want to do CH1 and the Northbound drive again since we missed all of that. Keep us posted and maybe we can put something together just for you. :)

Sorry to hear that, Maurice, but damn glad you're doing ok. Vicodin?!

Looks like Irish Car Bombs are the only safe thing to medicate for pain.

Oh there are alternatives for pain, but we don't want to get into that conversation here
