Suggestion for a Saturday Breakfast Activity
I have been having my new Backdraft serviced/tuned at Bill McAnally Racing's incredible shop in Roseville. Many of you are probably heard of Bill's Nascar Racing Team and the successful operation he runs.
I spoke with him yesterday and asked if we could hold one of our monthly breakfasts at his new Roseville location (near Riverside and I-80). He has a large parking lot that he will "cone off" for Norcal Cobras. We could have a light or large breakfast brought to their large meeting/banquet room and have a personalized tour of what might be considered the west coasts finest NASCAR racing operation -- you'd think you were in Joe Gibb's facility -- it's that good. He (Bill) was very enthused about this proposition and I told him I would check with the Cobra guys/gals and gauge the interest of the group in participating in this type of Saturday morning "get together". Let me know if this if you would support further scheduling of such an event. Jeff |
Sounds like a great idea.
Let me know if I can assist in any way |
Sounds good, but please don't make it this saturday because i won't be able to go.

Rod --
I'll wait and see the degree of interest from the forum before planning the specific event -- so hopefully it would occur sometime in October/November. Thanks for your reply. |
Jeff,
Sounds great. When you gonna be on the road? If you haven't done the BAR, ABSOLUTELY talk to me first!!! I can't emphasize that enough! |
Jeff,
I would definitely try to come over from Napa to see Bill's shop if it falls on the right weekend. Thanks for posting and great idea! John |
Count me in. Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for organizing this Jeff.
|
Jeff, sounds like another cool new place to check out. Great idea.
Note: People have been asking, so I had to post our Annual in Ione Oct 20th on our normal 3rd Saturday as we normally do. Not sure if you saw the prior threads and chatter, so that date is locked in now. Just as a thought, maybe we can check out your buddies place on one of the other weekends just before or after Oct 20th. All, We DO need to pack in as much as we can (multiple breakfast meetups) in Oct/Nov with this great weather just ahead. |
Remember when that location used to be Roseville Cycle and before that Lumberjack. I would take the 6 mile drive over, sounds good.

It's great to see the positive responses!
I'm going to wait a while longer to see if we can get some others to weigh in. As soon as we have a reasonable number of interested attendees, I'll check Bill McAnally's schedule and try to work towards a Saturday either just before or after the Ione event on 10/20 -- as Duane suggests. Jeff |
Count me in - that will be a nice 3/4 of a mile drive!!!
|
Phil,
Just watch your speed on the way over. LOL Bob |
