3rd Sat. OCTOBER 2014
How is this this for planning ahead?
Was talking to Jerry Neil about arraigning one of our 3rd Saturday get togethers. Jerry has attended a few of our get together with his Shelby Series 1 as well as his 50th anniversary Shelby Cobra. Jerry offered to host a gathering at his ranch outside of Winters California where he keeps most of his car collection as well as his 1930 era gas station. Due to schedules and summer heat we would like to gauge interest for a October 2014 gathering at his ranch near Winters. Was thinking breakfast/lunch as well as good company and conversations would make an interesting day for all. Give this some thought and reply with interest and approximate number of guests. We understand this is a little hard to understand availability for October but would like to see if there is interest in such an event. October will be here before we know. We would like to extend invite to all NorCal, Central Valley, and Bay Area Cobra groups. UPDATE July 2014: Event is happening!!! Please visit and reply to Fiesta announcement thread Hope to see everyone at Fiesta Thanks Patrick |
Patrick,
I would definitely be interested. Thanks Ted |
I'm interested, and will put it on my callender.

Terrific,

Good idea. **)
|
Kristen and I are in!!!
|
Connie and I will go. Maybe follow Ron?
|
Patrick,
now that's thinking and planning ahead. This far in advance will promise great attendance. It's great to hear Jerry still wants to do this. He still owes us a beer for the Auburn roadside repair too, so count me in. Send Jerry a big thanks in advance. :) |
Sounds like fun, I'm in. I'm sure there will be a good turnout. Keep us posted and thanks!

BTW. When am I going to see the Cobra on the road? FI problems solved? |
Not yet, but working on them. any help available?
|
John,
I'm no help with FI. But I can help you set up a carb. If that's all that's keeping you from driving, why not just switch over. It's been too long not to be driving your car. Of course, maybe someone local knows something about FI....anyone? |
that would be great! I have a carb, just need a manifold and a few other parts. What about wiring? Different fuel pump?
|
John - I'll be glad to help with the ego - been meaning to call you. Let's set a time.
If you switch to carb, you will need a lower pressure fuel pump. Not sure on the rest of the wiring. Edit: here's a step by step guidehttp://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/5-0l-tech/135024-efi-carb-conversion.html |
Sounds like a great time... I'm in.
Bob |
Sounds interesting. I'd like to attend from North Bay area.

Seems we have enough responses to plan for 3rd October get together. I am traveling for the next two weeks after which I will work with Jerry to firm up plans. Stay tuned for further details thanks for the responses Patrick |
Is it too late to participate? It's right in my neck of the woods and I'd love to attend.
