Toy Run Preliminary Announcement

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I know you’ve been waiting with baited breath. I’ve heard the rumblings.

Indeed, it’s that time of year.

The annual Toy Run is definitely on!

Consider this a pre-announcement…We’ll be visiting Sutter Memorial Hospital at 11 am, preceded by breakfast, presumably at Perko’s Café. I am still trying to firm up some particulars, but it's going to happen on December the 20th (the third Saturday).
Likely tomorrow, I'll post an official announcement and begin taking a head count.

All the best, Ron

Outstanding! Looking forward to it. This will be the last year Sutter Memorial will be open.

And....... thanks for your efforts Ron.

Thanks Ron for organizing. Need any help? Count connie and I in.

John,

Thanks, but it's done. Expect a formal announcement tomorrow.

Next year should be interesting, though. As Phil points out, Sutter Memorial may be bulldozed by this time next year. All facilities are being combined at the expanded Sutter General Hospital...which is not nearly as "cobra-friendly".

That's great news Ron. Thanks for getting it set up. See you soon.

Ron- thank you for organizing this years run! We will be there, I will get the word out to the other Elk Grove guys who don't follow the forum. Hop it doesn't rain that day!

Igofastr 12-03-2014 08:20 AM

Thanks guys...I have the official announcement all typed up...Just having a hard time getting it on clubcobra (computers are not my thing).

Anyone know how to get a document in RTF or word to post on CC without losing all the attributes/markups?

BMEP 12-03-2014 03:19 PM

Thanks for doing this Ron! Maria and & are in.

You can just attach your word document, that's one option.

There are other ways to do it:

1) Make an image of the document and post the image (this is probably the most straightforward). I can make an image for you if you'd like - just send me the word doc.

2) You can post from MS SkyDrive - here's a tutorial from another forum: How to embed Excel, PowerPoint, Word document into ADV - ADVrider

3) You could import your Word doc into a Google doc an post that https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2407404?hl=en

Unfortunately, you can't just export your Word doc to HTML and post it because HTML is turned off on this forum.

HTH, Rob

Rob,

Seriously, if you don't mind, I will send you the documents. I'm swamped at work, and it's getting worse by the minute.

PM me with your email, and I'll send what I have.

Thanks, Ron

Hey Ron - glad to help. I PM'd you my e-mail.
