Maurice,

Sorry, I didn't see this earlier. Nothing too exciting to you guys who drive "hairy-chested big block V8s" :) I just picked up the original motor to a 1968 Porsche 912 Targa that I've had for years. Haven't driven it much, I keep blowing up the motors :O. I guess it wanted its original heart back. Anyway, the owner is moving, and decided to sell it to me.

I've already put it in and drained the old oil. This weekend I'll try to drain the stinky gas out of the tank and get 'er back on the road.

I miss driving with the wind blowing through my hair.

Maurice,

You going to C&C tomorrow?

I'm thinking about it, but not sure at this point.

Dennis: "Lodi Wino",
Why don't you join us at C&C tomorrow morning. Cars & Coffee Folsom | IF IT ROLLS – IT GOES!
There are usually several NorCal Cobra folks there. Glad you have your car on the road.
Bob

Maurice:
See you tomorrow. :)

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Cobra guys for coming out in full force every 3rd Saturday to Cars and Coffee Folsom. The crowds really enjoy it and several have told me they only come on that day to see you guys. So once again thank you for supporting us and you all have great looking rides....
PS.. If any of you are going to the Uncork the Cobra at Perry Creek this Saturday we are leaving C&C at 10:30am if you would like to follow us up.

Perhaps we owe a thanks to you and your C&C crew.

Actually, you guys make it easy for us, no special plans required on our part. We can just show up on our normal 3rd Saturday meetups, and if we wanna go have breakfast or a drive afterwards for our regular NorCal Cobras meeting, we can. We are sort of crashing your event, essentially. :)

The Folsom C&C event is a bit unique in that we get to see an interesting mix of different vintage american and modern muscle cars, and some modern euro cars too. I've been checking out C&Cs in other cities this year and recently came back from C&C in Carlsbad CA just above North County San Diego where there are more of the high end modern/euro and japanese cars down there, fewer vintage muscle cars and hot rods there. Sacramento offers some neat car history here, and we don't fully realize it until we go check out other events and areas.

Folsom C&C is pretty cool. Great job!

...where else can you snap your fingers and assemble a last minute display of a 289 slab side, FIA, 427SC, Daytona, GT40 for an upcoming show.
