What are you guys doing?
Just thought I'd see how everyone is doing out there. While we're stuck at home it's an opportunity to catch up on the little things (and big things) that are so easy to put off. Myself, I've done a couple for updates to my roadster. Removed all the carpet and insulation and replaced with newer and better materials. I made a couple of wiring changes and di some general cleaning up. I also removed the old Mass-Flo EFI and installed a new Edelbrock Pro Flow system. What a difference! No big deal to set the base program, just a few questions on the pad to answer, then start it up. Ideled and checked the timing, drove as advised and have only had to adjust the fan on-off limits. Maybe this Corona thing will go away before too long and we can get back to normal.

I'm trying hard not to spend any money I don't have to until I see which of my tenants will be able to survive the Corona recession.

Steve, you've certainly been productive. I've been binge watching old TV shows ("Justified", "Ozark" ), gazing out the window and trying not to eat too much. I think now however, with your inspiration, I'll take a look at what the car needs. Not sure I'll actually do any of it,:o but maybe.
Take care. |
My garage is cleaner than it's been in 30 years, I have an idea now where things are at (except in the rafters). Went out to the gun club and burnt some powder on the few nice days we've had. The GF and I have been supporting our local restaurants and pizza shops, they've been doing rather well considering take-out is the only option.
I can't wait until the dealerships can open back up so I can get my Cobra back, I'm ready to drive!! |
Hey Steve. My Cobra is turning out to be a daily driver. Put on over 4500 miles since January. I just made a tonneau cover for it.

I am working on fitting my new Cobra labeled aluminum air cleaner housing. I have to relocate the opening from the exact center of the air cleaner housing 1" to clear the opening in the hood that already exists. I dropped it off yesterday at my favorite sheet metal shop.

My wife was told yesterday that her company may not have staff back into the building until the 1st part of July! Partly because some bean counter decided to do away with separate offices and cubicles in January to "save money with higher densification" so as to get rid if floor space rented. And now each work station is run together with 45" of work space for each person. There is only a 4" tall "partition" separating each space from the ones on each side and across from you. Next will be permanent layoffs as each company looks at reduced profits and drastic need to improve the bottom line. Even if they had a cure tomorrow, the impact of this is far from over! |
