recommended mechanic for header work
Can someone recommend a cobra mechanic to work on my 428FE that preferably has a shop between San Jose and Sunnyvale? One of the header bolts is stripped and needs a helicoil and I would also like to talk to them about why the header bolts loosen up every 100-200 miles or so. When I bought the car with <400 miles, it had already lost two bolts and now the gasket has blown at the end w/ the stripped bolt.

Another Everett-Morrison close by!!!!!!!!!! I've got one under construction in Sunnyvale, 428SCJ, Toploader, Jag rear, Mustang II front. If you would like to bring your car, and a pocket full of 1/16 inch drill bits, by sometime we can solve that bolt loosening problem. I've got safety wire pliers and I'm not afraid to use them :). As far as the helicoil goes you may want to try Mustang Ranch on El Camino in Santa Clara. They are the only local shop with Cobra experience that I know of, but keep a close eye on your wallet...... -Jon |
